If I remember correctly, there have been nature documentaries (produced by PBS, if I remember right) where some of the bonobo footage was cut down on the aired version because it was just too much for the censors to handle.

I think it is hilarious. Bonobo sex is seen as embarassing because they are far too human-like for the comfort of, mostly, the very people who don’t think we were ever related to them.
