Changing commenting system 3 May 2011 I am trialling the Disqus commenting system, since it means you do not have to enter your details every time if you are registered. Some have told me they cannot see the old comments. If you are having trouble, let me know. Administrative
Administrative Welcome to ET 3! 23 May 2009 Welcome, dear reader, to the third incarnation of Evolving Thoughts! Administrative Too big for my boots 13 Feb 2011 I can no longer use the online WordPress export function to back my blog up – I have to ask WordPress to do it. Congratulations on having one of the most sophisticated blogs I’ve come across in some time! It’s just incredible how much you can take away from something simply because of how visually beautiful it is. You’ve put together a great blog space –great graphics, videos, and layout. This is definitely a must-see blog!
It’s pretty evident that there are some problems with comments at present, most obviously what I take to be a compatibility issue between Disqus and the comments widget on the sidebar. The sidebar thinks that John S. Wilkins has commented twice in this thread, and that these comments are labelled as #comment-5523 and #comment-5524. In fact, at the time of writing John S. Wilkins has only commented once, and it’s #comment-196748087. The false numbering in the comments widget is happening to everyone else as well, and means that the links in the widget don’t actually work.
John S. Wilkins: Yes, it failed miserably. I have deactivated Discus. Thanks. I much prefer it this way (without disqus). Filling in my data isn’t actually much of a problem – just a little copy/paste.
