It makes me ashamed of the fact that I was born and bred in Essex but I can confirm that the level of ignorance is about ‘par for the course’ in that part of the country.
I really hope this is a bit of misrepresentation or lying by omission on the part of the Daily Mail. The idea of a judge who looks at Islam and sees “respect for women” is a frightening prospect for any female who appears before the court.
