The sad part is, even though it’s clearly satire, I’m not sure it really is satire. The government has probably looked at every line in this and thought “hey, this is actually a good idea, in line with our interests”. Perhaps we could name the new organization the Ministry of Internet Trust—Minitrue for short.
Yuck. That’s a terrible video. Parts of it are obviously satirical, while other parts don’t sound satirical at all, resulting in an incoherent message. It is also inappropriate to deliver satire of an important social issue in such a cheerfully deadpan voice and to play critical-faculty-dulling music in the background.
