Europe follows Australia in clean feed! 26 Apr 2010 Of course, we’re copying China, Iran, Burma and other democratic beacons… This video should be done in an Australian version: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkmcupFx3FQ&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1] Philosophy
Epistemology On the suspension of belief and disbelief 9 Nov 201127 Nov 2011 I have often addressed the distinction between atheism and agnosticism but I haven’t said a lot about what agnosticism involves, apart from it being a suspension of judgement about belief claims. Administrative Off to the wilds of Oxfordshire 14 May 2010 So, tomorrow I fly to Oxford (well, to Heathrow, and bus to Oxford) to this conference on religion and toleration. Yuck. That’s a terrible video. Parts of it are obviously satirical, while other parts don’t sound satirical at all, resulting in an incoherent message. It is also inappropriate to deliver satire of an important social issue in such a cheerfully deadpan voice and to play critical-faculty-dulling music in the background.
Parts are obviously satirical, while other parts don’t sound satirical at all? Gad! These guys are as incompetent as Mark Twain.
