It’s a real shame to see this excellent blog end. (I find it hard to believe that your readership has dropped to almost zero. Are you sure there’s not some glitch in the abacus or whatever?)

I’d just like to add my thanks for your writings. As a practicing biologist with far too little understanding of the justification for what I do, your blog has been very educational.
