I’d be voting Sex Party (and how long would it take to be able to say that out loud with a straight face?). What is its (their) history?

The sex party are a fairly new party, formed, as i understand it, in response to the net filtering policy. They are mainly concerned with issues of freedom of speech, sexuality (sex ed ect), gay marrige, and censorship. From memory they are supported by adult industry lobby groups, but then most other parties have their own lobby groups supporting them.

They are also on the money for each policy they have released. I will use their preferences to vote in the Senate.

I don’t think that the Liberals are opposed to internet censorship per se. If you listen to their statements on the filter they say they don’t support it because it won’t work, not because it violates freedoms of speech rights. Their opposition seems to be based on current technological limitations, so when those limitations are resolved i would not be surprised if they started supporting it.

There are differences of opinion among the Liberals. Turnbull opposes it for traditional liberal reasons, while Joe Hockey seems to oppose it because it is technically undoable. But they do support censorship of things they dislike.
