The Newman-Chalmers Dispute, Pt. 2: History, Philosophy, and Demarcation: Will Thomas at Ether Wave Propaganda presents the second of two very interesting discussions on the differences, and similarities, of historical and philosophical approaches to the scientific revolution.

Origin of the evil, demonic Quetzalcoatlus revealed: Darren Naish at Tetrapod Zoology uncovers the memetic history of the demonic representations of the largest of the azhdarchid pterosaurs.
Megafauna cave painting could be 40,000 years old: early humans in Australia painted the last of the avian megafauna; but I rather doubt that the present aboriginal tribes are direct descendants of the ones that painted these birds.

A better link for that last story. Even if I did mistake it for today’s mystery bird.
