Buffy is my personal saviour

buffysmall.pngAs always, the Onion has the scoop. I really like this new religion of Fictionology. One gets to choose a fictional character as your messiah, deity or general moral teacher. Who better than Buffy? Look good, kick evil doers, and have time for a social life.

“Unlike Scientology, which is based on empirically verifiable scientific tenets, Fictionology’s central principles are essentially fairy tales with no connection to reality,” the AIR report read. “In short, Fictionology offers its followers a mythical belief system free from the cumbersome scientific method to which Scientology is hidebound.”

So it’s a typical religion then.

I’m not sure if I’m comfortable with Buffy being the Savior. I don’t know how I’d handle having such an overpowering sexual attraction to my Messiah…

Very good point. Okay, that does it, I’m converting to fictionology and worshiping Buffy as my savior and redeemer.

The best part is that Faith is the Antichrist in this theology.

Thing is, I have a thing for Faith, too. (My name is Wilkins, after all.) Does that make me a Duellist?

One who really enjoys the duels between Buffy and Faith? Yes, yes it does.

Just last night my husband and I were making a list of awesome fictional women warriors; naturally Buffy was on it. The others were Ripley, Samantha Carter, Xena, Sarah Connor, Wonder Woman (I forget the rest).

    The Doctor.

He’s my Time Lord and savior.
